By KenRich · Last updated: October 11, 2026

This changelog lists what shipped in each preview build and what is still planned. Older releases stay below so you can compare versions.

0.4.2 preview

Made editor configuration changes preserve the active selection, scroll position, per-document undo history, and IME composition instead of remounting the editor.

Added explicit semantic scroll synchronization, reversible Back and Forward navigation, persistent contextual quick marks, and complete H1–H6 plus Setext outline parsing.

Added a keyboard-friendly visual Markdown table editor, safe spreadsheet and rich-text smart paste, and target-positioned onboarding for the real controls.

Added genuine OOXML DOCX export and a reviewed selection-assistance workflow that sends nothing until the user explicitly configures a provider and consents.

Fixed the PDF export module cycle while keeping Mermaid and diagram libraries out of the homepage entry bundle.

Refined the homepage first-value path, product proof, preview video, pricing explanation, and resource hierarchy for the paid preview launch.

0.4.1 preview

Expanded the native Markdown compatibility contract for ordered lists, Setext headings, task lists, strikethrough, quotes, rules, footnotes, and fenced code while preserving source meaning.

Added a tabbed administrator analytics workspace for overview, acquisition, content, contacts, and events, with trend data and tables for each surface.

Replaced hand-written SVG analytics trends with responsive Chart.js charts featuring smooth area fills, hover tooltips, legends, and a data-table fallback.

0.3.0 preview

What this release means

This release is about making the product explain itself better. A visitor should understand what VeloWrite is, what the browser can do, what the desktop app adds, and why a download is worth trying.

For search engines and AI tools, the site now has enough structure to describe the product without guessing.

Still planned

AI commands, private sync, publishing automation, commercial licensing, signed installers, and richer examples are still roadmap items.

Release notes will keep growing as the preview matures, so users can see both progress and deliberate limits.
